Oh Saturday, I do adore thee!

Big stuff around these parts! First up, after taking the pup on a nice long walk, I headed out for a little spin on the bike. My goal was easy (no serious hills) and 20-30 miles. The manfriend was off on his own bike ride with a teammate of his. In 2 hrs I covered 29 miles and other than a little left hip fatigue, I was feeling good!

I followed that up with a 20 min session of yogadownload.com's yoga for cyclists. I love this sequence. It has some GREAT poses that help open up your hips and stretch out your butt...the things we cyclists need most. The other great thing is that it's a little more basic so anyone can do it without knowing the names of yoga poses.

A little less intimidating for those who are new to the world of yoga! I did pay $1.99 for this 20 min class, but I have also downloaded several other free classes that are great. Have you tried yogadownload yet? If so, what's your favorite class? Even better yet, I seriously just got an email from them regarding their 40% off Labor Day sale good through Monday! Use coupon code:LaborDay

After my little yoga session, I whipped up an omlette and put it on an english muffin. Yum! Then the manfriend and I dressed up in our Duck gear in hopes of heading downtown to pick up my Eugene Women's Half Marathon race packet and then walking to a bar to cheer on my Oregon Ducks!

I was pleasantly surprised with the swag bags. First of all, the bag itself might just be the best thing. But oh wait...it gets better!

Look who got her hands on some mini Chocolate Peppermint Stick Luna bars!

And yes, I'll be turning this in for my lululemon shorts soon. I can't wait. I'm an addict, even though I only own one pair of lulu pants and one jacket.

And then it was time to walk the mile or so to The Cooler, the best sports bar to watch a game in because a) it's huge and b) they have a bazillion tv's so you can watch multiple games at once.

The walk to the bar was just a mile or so and it was a beautiful day for it!

When we got there, we realized the Ducks were beating the New Mexico Lobos 42 to zero. We grabbed a few beers and I had a sandwich for my beastly appetite. We left an hour later and the Ducks won 72-0!

With a sunny day still on our hands, we headed off to the local farm to pick up some goods. And boy did I load up...corn, onion, celery, basil, tomatoes, apples, peaches and bell peppas! Doesn't this look like the poisonous apple that the witch gave Snow White?

Old Tour de France photo that the manfriend can't decide where to hang. These guys used to drink beer on their breaks and carry their spare tires around themselves on the tour! Amazing how far things have come!

And with that, I'm off to carb load for tomorrow's half! I'm planning to enjoy it, but run strong. Not planning on a PR, but crazier things have happened. After I finish, I'm hoping to continue on for a few more miles, but we'll see what my body says after 13.1. :)

That is a sweet grab bag, and nice job on that bike ride!! I am let to log any major mileage like that on my bike, I find it a bit boring. Guess I need to get used to it, though. Especially since I need to ease off my running with the foot bugging me.

Good luck in the half-marathon tomorrow!!

Good luck tomorrow!! You're getting me excited for my half, which is in a month!
That swag bag is awesome! It reminds me of the cups at my fave local coffee place. I love reading all the sayings when enjoying my coffee. :)

I am looking forward to hearing how your 1/2 went!!

And seriously - 72-0? Wow. That is insane!!
Awwwww I loved seeing your pictures of Eugene. I can't wait to be there in less than two weeks!

What an epic game that was! We couldn't get the game in Seattle but I was following on ESPN's gamecast. Very fun.

Good luck on your half tomorrow!!!
