A Wish List

This time of year, it's fun to start dreaming about things you'd purchase if you could (or if someone wanted to buy you a little somethin' somethin'). Here are a few of my latest wants.

Accessories - Necklaces, infinity scarves, fun gloves to wear when it's cold out. I for one, think a necklace is a great purchase for others who wear jewelry because we often buy the major things (shirt, pants, sweater) and leave the sparkly stuff behind. I love the LOFT ones (that go on sale regularly), but I always end up buying clothes instead. I love my new Oiselle Runfinity scarf - infinity scarves are the best.

Massage or pedicure - in the form of gift certificates. This can be a great gift because you're giving someone a pampering that they might not deem necessary, but would truly enjoy. And even if you can't give the cost of an entire service, a $25 gift certificate can put a nice dent into one's bill!

Lululemon Cool Racerback or No Limits Tank - These days I'm really into bright colors with my workout attire - red, blues, pink, yellow and of course white w/ grey stripes (can't deny the stripe love)

Lululemon Wunder Unders - I have the crop version, but can imagine the full length version being great for winter yoga or under a long sweater/top with a pair of boots.
Race entry - I love racing, but lately have skipped races I wanted to do in order to save the $$. Even $25 on the "affordable" races adds up if you're doing a few of them in the matter of a few months!

There are also things I've been thinking about that aren't necessarily about the cost, but simply having the opportunity to enjoy.

A few of those include:
A day of relaxation activities (fall walk, sipping on hot coffee and munching on a scone in a nearby coffee shop, laughing with friends, DIY pedicure), getting lost in a book for a few hours at the library, crafts with friends/family, grabbing a beer in a cozy bar, and a day spent baking and laughing with a good friend.

The last few years, I've had a baking night with my friend Jenn during the holidays and it's just a fun time to destress, bake some sweets (some to giveaway and some to munch on) and have a drink. Beware: the more heavy handed your drink is, the less productive cooking baking could be.

What is one thing you're wishing for this Christmas OR an activity/experience you want to do?

I'm terrible about buying things for myself instead of waiting for gifts...here's a couple things that would make great gifts though. Oiselle Clearly Jacket (still waiting for delivery, I'm assuming it will be good); Asics Thermopolis XP pants (too heavy for running in most climates, but very cozy), or anything Asics Thermopolis; puffy down vest (my parents got me one from LLBean); Target has some cute cheap scarves (and hats and gloves), plus I also like the scarves from a local boutique. Books--really enjoying Wild (from Lost to Found on Pacific Crest Trail) by Cheryl Strayed, loved Iron War by Matt Fitzgerald, The Lola Papers by Amy Marxkors, and I could probably go on and on. :) Happy Holidays. :)

I would love a medal holder to hold all of my race medals. I don't have a lot but plan on getting more come 2013

I think I want everything on your list :) I have the cropped version of the Wunder Unders too and want to try the long ones. I'm wishing for a new yoga mat for Christmas because mine definitely needs to be retired!

I like your wish list. I am really into infinity scarves right now. I just bought two from lululemon that I love. I want to get a pair of wunder unders really bad. I might have to buy myself a Christmas present.... :-)
I love seeing what other people are asking for/wishing for! I would like some slippers, a candle from anthropologie (French cade lavender scented) and more cloth-wrapped penguin classics. Oh, and a gift cert for a massage would be fabulous as my body feels really beat up after this last trip to California.

I would never say no to more infinity scarves! I'm not sure if I'm going to get around to writing a Christmas wish list this year, for the first time in awhile I haven't really thought about what I want/need!
